August 2020 will mark the centennial of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which gave women the right to vote. The campaign to win its passage stands as one of the most significant and wide-ranging moments of political mobilization in all of American history. There are many ways to tell the history of women’s suffrage, but a new exhibit on the Clio Visualizing History website chooses to do so through 19 objects.
